PLING-PLING SPARKLING FROM KREFELD
Puffing-pling? We need to clarify this very quickly: This is not a cheap drink, but a premium niche product. Puffsbrause is the first sparkling wine that has cranberries added and therefore looks like a light rosé wine. The name is also quickly explained: the man behind the product is Christoph Puff from Krefeld. His sister Kathrin, who is one year younger, is an oenologist. When she was working as a cellar master in Tuscany and the brother visited her there, the idea of creating a Puffébrause was born in the evening over wine. What was initially more of a funny idea, Christoph Puff turned into a student project. At the time, he was studying business administration at the TH Dortmund. In 2005, at the Chair of Corporate Management and Entrepreneurship, Puffsbrause became a start-up company – which has long since outgrown the university and has now been successful on the market for over ten years, albeit in a small niche.
